About the Exhibit

This year’s Scope Art Show exhibit is part of our multi-year Miami Art Week project that began in 2021, meant to boost exposure for one of the most exciting, up and coming art industries in the world: borosilicate glass and pipe making. Borosilicate glass is a durable, temperature and shock-resistant material that developed and became popular as an artistic medium in the past half century through the support of the functional glass art and pipe industry. Borosilicate glass art has humble origins as part of the underground pipe scene, which was often both legally and socially taboo. From there, borosilicate glass art has evolved over the span of a single human lifetime into a multifaceted, often functional art form that is constantly pushing the boundaries of glass art and art as a whole. The borosilicate glass art industry is still very much in its infancy, coming to existence less than a hundred years ago. In this time, the industry has been pushing creative boundaries through the passion and ingenuity of hundreds of artists, who often spend decades honing their skills and who face extreme challenges and risks that are often unique to their art form.

Our main goal for this exhibit is to challenge the societal perception of borosilicate glass art and pipes as an art form. We intend through this project to show our attendees the incredible range and potential of this medium. That said, this exhibit can only scratch the surface of such a new and diverse medium. We hope our exhibit can convey the potential of the artists whose work is exhibited here at SCOPE Art Show and inspire the opportunities for them to continue pursuing more ambitious projects that challenge the current limitations of their medium. We’d like to thank everyone for taking the time to attend our exhibit and experience this new and versatile art form.

About Us

Glass2grass is a borosilicate glass art gallery and retail business in Miami that specializes in functional borosilicate glass art. Established in 2018, we are dedicated to pushing the borosilicate glass art industry forward and are working towards expanding the awareness and limits of this industry during this historically unique period of global social change. We hope to change what people believe is possible within the pipe and art scene, and hope our attendees see a glimpse of the future we see through our projects. We are currently in the middle of a move in location, and our new location will be open to the public starting at the end of January, 2023 at our new location in Little River, an art district in Miami, Florida.
